Wendy Brandon, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner as well as trained as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She initially worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a crisis unit with Fresno County Mental Health while going to school for Registered Nursing, BSN, at Fresno State University. As a registered nurse, she worked for Fresno County Mental Health in a variety of settings. Later, she went on to graduate from Fresno State University with a master’s degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (FNP), trained at Kaiser adult medicine and private practice general medicine. Shortly after graduation as an FNP, she returned to school at Long Beach State University for a postgraduate certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Wendy has been practicing in general psychiatry since 2006 with Fresno County Outpatient Services. She then moved to Humboldt County in 2007 and worked for Outpatient Services at Humboldt County Mental Health. In 2015, she joined a private practice in Humboldt County and concurrently worked with Del Norte County Mental Health for a period. She joined this clinic in 2020 to serve Fresno and the Central Valley. The variety of areas that she has worked in as a nurse practitioner are a crisis unit department, inpatient hospitalization, outpatient services, jail services, older adult services, and telemedicine for 8 years with Humboldt County Mental Health. She also worked for a year at Humboldt State University training nursing students at an inpatient psychiatric unit.

Born and raised in Fresno, she appreciates the privilege of serving her home community and the surrounding areas in the Central Valley.
